Averill and Warren’s Gore:

Residents in the UTG are encouraged to recycle whenever possible to decrease the cost of rubbish removal. Reduce, re-use, recycle!

Remember: Household trash in garbage bags only is allowed for roadside pickup or into the dumpster in Norton. Bulky Day is for all other trash not including household hazardous waste. (See PDF below for a full list of acceptable bulky day items.)

Ferdinand: Roadside pickup on Tuesday of each week from June 1 - October 31. Pickup will be every other week from November 1 - April 30. The UTG has a contract with J.K.Lynch Disposal, Inc. of Colebrook NH for waste disposal services. The Town of Brighton recycling facility located at the town garage by the school on RailRoad Street is available for recycling services for Ferdinand erill and Warren’s Gore are permitted to use the Norton Transfer Station.
Summer hours for the transfer station are:

Wednesday 5-6 PM
Saturday 9 - noon
Sunday 2-5 PM

The UTG Board of Governors entered into a contract with the Town of Norton in January of 2009. Hours for the facility were set by the town boards after discussions including an ARCO board member and residents. Any complaints or concerns from UTG residents regarding the waste facility must be directed to the UTG office.

A letter with a new permit for UTG residents in Averill and Warren’s Gore was sent to everyone on June 4, 2009. It includes a list of acceptable transfer station and bulky waste day items. Please download the PDF files for a copy of that information:
